Mahindra Thar in its new-gen rendition is making the Indian audience fall for its updated design, revamped interior and new engine-gearbox choices. While its last-gen counterpart can be best described as utilitarian, the new-gen Thar comes with a posher cabin. However, it misses out on some essential bits, like cup/bottle holders in the second row and centre armrest for front seats. Moreover, the interior is finished in black theme, which tends to make things claustrophobic here. With some subtle aftermarket customization, these issues can be rectified to some extent. Here’s a modified Mahindra Thar, which now features a customized interior and has managed to get away from the aforementioned issues.

The Thar in the pictures is modified by Auto Trade Interior Solutions. The tuner has brilliantly customized the interior of this Thar. It now features a dual-tone theme for the dashboard by using brown shade for the lower half of the dash.  The same colour scheme is used for the steering wheel, centre console, and door pads. For the upholstery, the tuner has used white leather, which makes the seats look bespoke. Also, the seats get brown piping along with a diamond-pattern for the stitching.

For the improved comfort levels, armrests have been fixed on the front- and second-row seats. The rear wheel wells intrude in the cabin of new-gen Mahindra Thar. They look odd too. To make good use of the wheel wells, the modifier has fixed aftermarket armrests over them, which come with integrated cup holders.
