Take a look at this video where a Mahindra XUV500 owner explains how he saved himself from a used car market fraud while he was planning to buy a used Ford Endeavour.

Experts are often seen advising car buyers to explore the used car market to buy a car at a depreciated amount. It certainly makes sense, as you get away saving some money by buying an almost new car. However, it isn’t an easy job to come across a picture-perfect example in the used car market. Used car dealers tend to show the models in a better picture than they actually are and quote a relatively higher price tag. Something similar happened with a Mahindra XUV500 owner when he planned to upgrade to a used Ford Endeavour. Fortunately, he managed to get away with the fraud without spending money on a crooked Ford Endeavour. We came across this incident via a YouTube video which was uploaded by the Mahindra XUV500 owner on his channel – Explore The Unseen 2.0.

In the video, the host explains that he was exploring the used car market to find a Ford Endeavour for himself. With the use of a digital marketplace, he shortlisted two examples and proceeded to perform a physical inspection of them. The first example that the host shortlisted was an Agra registered vehicle. On close inspection, the host figured out that some of its body panels were repainted. On questioning the dealer, he received an answer that the vehicle never met with an accident. Also, the host spotted a sticker on the engine bay which had the manufacturing year mentioned as 2020, while this particular example of Ford Endeavour was a 2017 make.

Moving over to the second example, it was claimed to be a very-less driven model by the dealer with an odo reading of around 40,000 km. After having a look at both of these examples, the host thought of enquiring about them from a Ford dealership. With their response, he was surprised, as the first example that he checked out has seen the workshop for a major engine repair job. However, the second one has crossed 90,000 km on the odometer while it went for a regular service to a Ford dealership in 2018. With the service history at his access, the host decided to drop the plan of buying a used car and considered buying a new car, instead. We hope that this video comes up as a help to you if you are in the market to buy a pre-worshipped example.
