This Maruti Baleno Gets Gorgeous-looking 17-inch Aftermarket Alloy Wheels

When Maruti brought the Baleno nameplate back in 2016, it was the Indian auto maker’s first premium hatchback offering. Also, to make sure buyers got a premium and upmarket purchasing experience, the Baleno was exclusively sold through Maruti’s Nexa dealerships. Though it may have been overshadowed by newer offerings like the third-generation Hyundai i20, it still remains a great buy. In fact, it was the best-selling premium hatchback for November 2020. Consumers love the Baleno’s spacious interiors, practicality, and well-specced variants for attractive prices. The Baleno also has been a popular choice for aftermarket tuning and modifying, and today we have got these aftermarket rims for it. 

The picture has been uploaded by velocity_tyres on Instagram, in which they’re showcasing the new 17-inch R.P.M. wheels for the Maruti Baleno. It is a five-spoke design and has got a diamond-cut finish as well. The stock car comes with 16-inch alloys for the top models, so these are an inch bigger and they fill up the wheel arches even more. According to a recent report that has emerged, Maruti Suzuki is currently in the development process of a compact SUV based on the Baleno. Codenamed YTB, it likely to take the shape of a small crossover or a coupe. It is amongst a raft of SUVs that are in different stages of development and a mid-size SUV in collaboration with Toyota is also reported to be in the works.

Prices for the Maruti Baleno range from Rs 5.70 lakh up to Rs 9.03 lakh, ex-showroom respectively. The Maruti Baleno is powered by a 1.2-litre four-pot petrol which puts out peak power and torque figures of 83 PS/115 Nm respectively. It is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. It is the premium hatchback offering from the brand but Maruti has managed to undercut most of its competitors like the new Hyundai i20, Honda Jazz, and the Volkswagen Polo in the value-for-money segment.
