Here, we have a modified Maruti Brezza that gets a wireless charging pad, which is a part of Maruti Genuine Accessories, and a flat-bottom steering wheel from XL6.

Maruti Vitara Brezza used to be the bestselling SUV in India in its BS4 avatar, but its new, petrol-powered, BS6 iteration has had quite a rocky start. The pandemic outbreak and the subsequent nationwide lockdown have had quite a negative effect on the car’s sales. In May 2020, Maruti Suzuki only managed to sell 572 units, which brought the car to the fourth position in the sales charts.

To attract customers one again towards the Brezza, Maruti Suzuki is offering a lot of premium accessories on it. You can check out all the accessories available on the 2020 Maruti Brezza here. As for the standard equipment list, Maruti doesn’t offer a lot of features that are available on its competitors, like a flat-bottom steering wheel and a wireless charging pad. That, however, isn’t a problem for X-Roaders, who modified their pre-facelift Brezza (BS4 diesel model) with the addition of these two features. The video showcasing these mods were uploaded on their YouTube channel "Xroaders In".

The steering wheel swap was performed by SP Customs. The flat-bottom steering wheel has been sourced from a Maruti XL6, but it wasn’t a direct fit, as the steering column of the Brezza has a different screw diameter for the wheel mount than the XL6. To fix this problem, the steering screw from a used Brezza was employed. Initially, there was no airbag for the driver, but that was added later, for which we are grateful. We urge all our readers to always ensure their safety in a vehicle. It may not seem necessary, but trust us, it absolutely is. The total cost of this mod was Rs 17,105.

The second added feature is the wireless charging pad. Hyundai offers wireless charging on the Venue, as well as the i10 Nios and Creta. It isn’t offered as standard on even the top-trim of the Brezza, but thankfully it is available as an added accessory. If you wish to get it, you’ll have to pay extra, and the dealership will fix it for you. That said, the owner of the car actually fitted the wireless charger himself. As for the specs of the charging pad, it is a tri-coil system 15W fast charging mode and is compatible with Qi charging smartphones. The cost of this accessory is Rs. 3,590 (plus Rs. 410 for coupler wire).
