This modified Ford Endeavour now sits on a set of massive aftermarket wheels that makes this car look like monstrous. Also, it gets other modifications up its sleeves, let's find out more details of them.
This SUV from Ford has gained popularity in our market thanks to its powerful performance along with an excellent off-road capability. All of these attributes have made it one of the best contenders in the full-size SUV segment. In its original form, the Ford Endeavour looks pretty rugged and robust with its massive size. At a length of over 5 meters and a height of 1.8 meters, the Ford Endeavour is one of the largest vehicles in its class. When plying on road, the car shows an undeniable road presence that overshadows other cars around. This vehicle can become even more dominant and impressive with simple updates for the exterior. For the following modified Ford Endeavour, the street creed and aggressive styling of the SUV have taken a huge leap with the addition of a set of massive wheels and other cosmetic modifications.
Modified Ford Endeavour comes with massive wheels
This modified Ford Endeavour receives 20-inch 10J aftermarket rims that are wrapped in 35X12.5X20 BF Goodrich MT rubber. These rims come from the off-road collection of the Monster brand. As the name might suggest, this wheelset looks enormous and monstrous, which resembles those used on the massive trucks. Having these big-sized tyres makes a difference in how it looks. However, with regard to performance, there are certain disadvantages that come with such massive tyres. For example, vehicles with big-sized wheels cannot go at high speeds. The turning radius of these vehicles also increases, making it harder for the driver to manoeuvre in tight spaces.
Along with the major updates of the aftermarket wheels, this Ford Endeavour is intensively upgraded with a host of new exterior add-ons. On the front end, the Endeavour features a bonnet scoop along with an MCC Ranger Snorkel. In addition to that, X Glide roof light, aftermarket projector headlight with DRLs, and new foglights are also added to enhance the look as well as the light system of the vehicle. It should be noted that the modifier has made use of a Raptor X Series Bodykit for the Endeavour. To complete the new look, the Endeavour was repainted in matte black and it gets some decals for the rooftop and the rear end. When comparing it to the original design, we can see that all the chrome elements are removed to maximize the robust look of the SUV.
Along with the revised exterior, this Ford Endeavour also comes with various mechanical updates
For the front, this SUV gets a Profender4x4 Monotube suspension with Nitrogen Subtank with 12 Step Adjustability while the rear receives Robust Monotube suspension with Nitrogen Subtank with 16 Step Adjustability. Other updates on this Endeavour include Sun4x4 upper arm & drop kit, Ironman4x4 Rear Coil Springs, Option 4WD front damper spacers, and unicorn rear damper spacers.
The Ford Endeavour in question is the pre-facelift model. This model is powered by a 3.2-litre five-cylinder diesel engine, which can put out a top power of 198 BHP and a maximum torque of 470 Nm. This engine comes with a torque converter automatic gearbox only. For the top-spec variant also features a 4x4 system. Different terrain modes and traction control are also included on these variants. It is not yet known to us if this Ford Endeavour is a top-spec model or a regular version.
However, Ford has discontinued this powertrain option and has replaced it with the BSVI-compliant unit. Ford Endeavour now derives power from a new 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine. This motor belts out a peak power and torque output of 170 PS and 420 Nm, respectively. The prices of the Ford Endeavour starts from Rs 29.55 lakh and goes up to Rs 33.25 lakh.
