Modified Kia Seltos Looks Mesmerizing With Matrix DRL-Indicator

Kia Seltos is a highlight in the dampening landscape of the entire automobile industry. The first product from Kia's stable has taken the market by storm. Within just months of its launch, the Seltos SUV has had the whole SUV space in its palm of its hand, defeating other car manufacturers with regards to the sales figures. With such massive popularity, it was but a matter of time before we started seeing a barrage of modified Kia Seltos cars around us. At first, there was a wine-red Kia Seltos in Kerala. More recently, another customized Kia Seltos has caught our eye. This unit of the Kia Seltos, customized by Hybrid Customs, was introduced by the courtesy of their Youtube channel.

The highlight of this customized Kia Seltos is the new set of turn indicators and DRLs on the front end. The after-market turn indictor is inspired by Audi’s matrix DRL-indicator system. Based on the look of the Kia Seltos at the beginning of the video, it seems to be a lower trim, since the lower-end variant of the Kia Seltos does not get the full-LED headlight-foglight setting as the top-spec variants. The magic, however, starts when the headlights are turned up, showing its mesmerizing light effect. The video starts with the stunning performance of the headlights followed by activation of the turn indicators. The video also shows this Kia Seltos with its new lighting system in the dark to show its full glory.

Admittedly, the lighting effect of the new matrix system looks superb and befitting with Kia Seltos' exterior design. Moreover, it is well-fitted and neat with a high level of refinement, which makes it hard to tell it is an aftermarket replacement. This car must be the first modified Seltos to get this matrix-effect lighting system. Looking at how good it looks on this car, some people might be inspired to have their cars customized with the same instalment. The total price of this modification is not revealed yet.

Kia Seltos comes with a wide range of powertrain options. It is offered with three engines options and each of the engines is mated to both automatic and manual gearbox. Two petrol unit available includes a 1.5-litre petrol engine and a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol unit. The former is less powerful with the maximum power of 113 PS and peak torque of 144 Nm while the latter is capable of making a top power of 138 PS and highest torque of 242 Nm, which is also the most powerful option of the whole range. The larger engine is coupled with either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a CVT automatic transmission. On the other hand, the turbocharged unit is offered with two gearbox choices, a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The only diesel engine, a 1.5-litre unit, can put out 113 PS of peak power and 250 Nm of peak torque.

Some noticeable features of the Kia Seltos include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system integrated with Kia’s UVO connectivity system, 7-inch MID, 8-inch head-up display, and ambient lighting, which makes the interior upmarket. Besides, Kia’s top-spec variants also offer top-notch comfort features like air purifier, ventilated front seats, a power-adjustable driver seat, leatherette upholstery, 8-speaker Bose audio system, and sunroof.
