Here's a modified Honda Civic that imitates the looks of the Civic Type-R. Take a look at it here.

Honda Civic is one of the nicest-looking executive sedans in the country. In the international markets, a performance-spec Type-R version and a hatchbacks version are also offered. Sadly, the Indian-market is kept away from them. However, Indian enthusiasts possess a strong emotion for the Civic. Thus, a lot of modified examples can be seen on the roads. Most of these modifications are made to improve the car’s performance and aesthetics. Now, the tuners have started following the same rituals with the new-gen Civic that was launched in the country last year. Interestingly, here’s one example that we recently came across via a social media platform, and it is modified to look like the Type-R model.

This Honda Civic Goes TOPLESS

To start with, it gets a Type-R spec bumper at the front, which gets massive faux air vents and a splitter. Also, the chrome-plated front grille is now replaced with a piano-black unit, and a hood scoop is also fixed on the bonnet. On the sides, the stock alloy wheels are replaced with a set of black-finished aftermarket units that feature a diamond-cut pattern. It also gets Type-R spec side skirts. The roof of this Civic is also wrapped in a glossy-black vinyl sheet. Moving over to the rear facet, it follows the same suit as the front one. The stock bumper is swapped with the Type-R unit. Furthermore, it gets a massive wing that is mounted on the boot lid, while a spoiler is fixed over the rear windscreen. Like the Civic Type-R, it also gets triple exhaust pipes.

Powering this Civic is a 1.8L N/A i-VTEC motor that puts out a rated power output of 141 PS and max torque of 174 Nm. Sadly, Honda offers the petrol variants of the Civic with a CVT only. The option of a manual gearbox is restricted to the diesel trims, which source power from a 1.6L engine that churns out 120 PS against 300 Nm. The Civic Type-R sold in the international markets, on the other hand, uses a 2.0L turbo-petrol motor that is capable of putting out a rated power output of 306 Hp and max torque of 400 Nm. With a 6-speed stick shift gearbox, it is capable of hitting a top speed of 272 kmph and can do a run to 100 kmph from standstill in less than 6 seconds.
