Also, those who have got their cars delivered are modifying them to make them look uber cool. Owners have been spending lakhs to customize their new-gen Thar to make them stand out of the crowd. The owner of this new Mahindra Thar has spent a huge chunk of money for aftermarket alloy wheels. The factory-spec 18-inch rims are replaced with flashy 22-inch units that are shod with low-profile tyres. Moreover, it gets a host of OEM accessories, such as headlamp cladding, side cladding and more. Another important tuning job performed on this Thar is on the inside.
Its interior now dons a brown theme with custom finished door panels, quilted roof liners, custom seat covers and more. The steering wheel is wrapped in a brown shade of leather. Interestingly, the designer has used suede-finish for the parts that occupants would sit on, whereas leather is used for the remaining part. It has been done to ensure a sweat-free experience in summers. Also, the seat belts are replaced with brown-coloured units.
