Here are all the differences between the Toyota Fortuner Standard and Legender. The new model of the SUV is offered at a starting price of Rs 29.98 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Recently, the Japanese carmaker Toyota has launched the facelift version of Fortuner along with its much-awaited premium trim, The Legender. The carmaker launched the new Fortuner through the virtual event, and the new model of the SUV is around Rs 1.3 lakh expensive than the pre-facelift version. It now gets retailed at a starting price of Rs 29.98 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the base trim and goes all the way up to Rs 37.58 lakh (Ex-showroom, Delhi) for the top-spec Legender variant. So here’s a small comparison between the Standard Toyota Fortuner and the Legender trim of the SUV.

Front-side-look-of-Toyota-Fortuner

There are a lot of styling differences between both the SUVs. The Standard trim of the car gets a large grille upfront, which features a mesh type pattern and is finished in piano black colour shade. It gets sleek LED headlamps, with integrated LED DRLs. It also features a revised front bumper. On the side, not much has been changed except for the addition of a new set of 18-inch rims. The rear-end of the SUV gets slim LED taillights.

On the other hand, the Fortuner Legender gets a smaller grille along with a sleeker headlamp cluster. The bumper and the grille are neatly separated from each other. It gets an aggressive-looking bumper with neatly integrated fog lamps. On the side, it features 5-spoke alloy units. The rear fascia of the SUV employs the same set of taillights, but are connected via a black strip. Toyota Fortuner Legender is offered in white colour option with a contrasting roof.

Inside, both the SUVs comes loaded with features like a larger touchscreen infotainment unit with latest connectivity options, JBL sound system, ventilated seats, front clearance sonar and much more. It also offers three different driving modes namely- Eco, Normal and Sport. The Standard model of the SUV gets tan upholstery, while the Legender variant of the car gets two-tone (Black + Maroon) cabin theme. Mechanically, the new Toyota Fortuner is powered by a 2.8-litre turbo diesel and 2.7-litre petrol engine. Transmission duties are done by a 6-speed MT or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
