Shardul Thakur and T Natarajan Get Mahindra Thar From Anan Mahindra

Launched last year, the new Mahindra Thar was the most wanted car at the time of its launch. Now, months after its launch, the new Thar still remains its appeal. Mahindra succeeds in keeping the new model in the limelight well past the initial heat. In the latest news, Anand Mahindra has gifted the new Thar to Shardul Thakur and T Natarajan. Two cricket stars have shared the news via their social media platform and show their gratitude to Mr Mahindra. Earlier this year, Anand has promised to give 6 Mahindra Thar to 6 debutant cricketers on the Indian team this year.

According to the revealed images, T Natarajan chose a hard-top model in Red Rage colour for himself. Shardul Thakur, on the other hand, picked the Galaxy Grey paint scheme. Obviously, both of these units are top-spec models with all the bells and whistles. However, it remains unknown what powertrain option two cricketers have chosen. T Natarajan has sent Mr Mahindra the signed jersey that he wore during the Australian tournament. Also in this tournament, T Natarajan has his big break as a debutant in the Indian cricket team and contributed to the team’s historical win. He also tweeted,

“As I drive the beautiful Mahindra Thar home today, I feel immense gratitude towards Shri @anandmahindra for recognising my journey & for his appreciation. I trust sir, that given your love for cricket, you will find this signed shirt of mine from the Gabba Test meaningful”.

Shardul Khakur has made impressive debut on the Indian team 

Besides Shardul Thakur and T Natarajan, Anand Mahindra also promised to gift other four debutant cricketers - Mohammed Siraj, Navdeep Saini, Washington Sundar, and Shubman Gill. We will soon hear good news from these cricketers.

As you might be aware, the Mahindra Thar is in such huge demand that it would take months of waiting. Currently, the waiting period of the Mahindra Thar has gone up to 10 months for select trims and colour options. It tells a lot about the desired status of the Mahindra Thar.

2020 Mahindra Thar is available in two trims, LX and LX Option. The Thar is offered with two engine options, 2.0L mStallion turbo-petrol and 2.2L mHawk turbocharged diesel unit. These engines are good for 150 BHP/320Nm and 130 BHP/300 Nm. There are two transmission options, a 6-speed MT and a 6-speed AT. Mahindra Thar is priced from Rs 12.10 lakh to Rs 14.15 lakh.
