This Tata Altroz XM trim gets a lot of aftermarket goodies to offer similar creature comforts as the top-spec variants. Check it out here.

Tata Altroz is one of the best-looking cars from the indigenous carmaker. It is offered in a slew of variants; however, the entry-level trims come without any creature comfort. The top-spec trims, on the other hand, come loaded to the gills. In a bid to fill to this gap between the entry-level and top-spec variants, Tata Motors has recently introduced a new XM+ trim of the Altroz. Sadly, it is only available in petrol guise only. However, if you are planning to buy an entry-level trim – XE/XM and have plans to load them up with aftermarket accessories, take a look at this video that we came across via the YouTube channel of Get Install.

Talking of the specifications, the Altroz is offered with two engine options – 1.2L petrol and 1.5L diesel. The diesel motor is capable of developing 90 PS of peak power and 200 Nm of max torque, whereas the petrol engine can push out a rated output of 86 PS and 113 Nm. As of now, the Altroz is only offered with a 5-speed MT. However, a DCT-equipped Turbo variant of the Altroz is in the pipeline and is expected to launch by sometime next year. The Turbo variant is likely to produce a peak power output of 110 PS and max torque of 140 Nm. The Altroz starts at Rs. 5.44 lakh and tops out at Rs. 9.09 lakh. It rivals the likes of Hyundai i20, Maruti Baleno, Honda Jazz and more.
