A tractor rammed into the rear-end of a Tata Nexon. While both the drivers are safe, read here to know the damage that occurred to both the vehicles.
Tata Nexon was the first Indian car to score a complete 5-star rating on Global NCAP’s testbed. The compact-SUV is also performing decently well on the sales charts. The Indian audience loves it for the way it looks, space if offers, and the safety ratings it possesses. Also, reports of Tata Nexon’s collision with other cars are often reported on the internet. The SUV never fails to perform in an event of a crash. Here’s a video, where a Swaraj tractor collided into a Tata Nexon and damaged its own hood. This video was uploaded by Prateek Singh on his YouTube channel.
In the video, one can see that a Swaraj tractor rams into the rear-end of the Tata Nexon. Resultantly, Nexon’s rear windshield gets shattered, while the tailgate suffers some minor dents and scratches. The tractor doesn’t end up without any damage, either. The front portion of the tractor gets completely ruined too. Also, the hood of the tractor crumples back with the effect. This video clip was not shot by the Nexon owner himself. Another road user shot and shared it, instead. Hence we are not aware of the Nexon’s owner, but he is said to walk out of it without any injury.
Talking of the Nexon’s safety equipment, it comes with a host of safety gears. It packs in dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, electronic stability program, hill hold assist, brake assist, ISOFIX child seat mounts, reverse parking sensors, seat belt alarm, front seat belt with pre-tensioners and load limiters, roll-over mitigation, brake disc wiping, and electronic brake pre-fill as standard fitment across the range. Top-spec trims also get front fog lamps with cornering assistance, rear defogger, day-night IRVM, and reverse parking camera.
Tata Nexon is offered with 2 engine options to choose from. There is a 1.2L 3-cylinder turbo-petrol on offer, which is capable of putting out 120 PS and 170 Nm as its rated output. Additionally, there’s an oil-burner on offer, which can belt out 110 PS and 260 Nm of max output. Both of these engines can be had either with a 6-speed MT or 6-speed AMT.
