Tata Safari was launched at the introductory price of Rs 14.69 lakh. Tata also introduced the special edition of the vehicle called Tata Safari Adventure Persona with a host of cosmetic updates.
After a long wait, Tata Motorshas launched the all-new Tata Safari a few days ago at the starting price of Rs 14.69 lakh (ex-showroom). Recently, Tata Motors also introduced the Tata Safari Adventure Persona edition. Compared to the regular Safari, the Adventure Persona gets some distinctive styling elements that enhance the visual appeal of the SUV. Tata also releases a TVC dedicated to the Tata Safari Adventure Persona.
Tata Safari Adventure Persona is introduced as the special edition of the Safari. It is the equivalent of the Camo Edition and Dark Edition on the Tata Harrier. On the TVC, Tata has highlighted the off-road capability and the rugged styling of this special edition over the standard model. Unlike the original Safari, the Adventure Persona has eliminated all the chrome elements across the body, as a way to accentuate the aggressiveness and rugged appeal of this model.
Instead of chrome inserts, the special edition flaunts black elements – or Granite Black as Tata calls it. For the grille, door handles, headlight, window line, roof rails, Tata has applied the gunmetal grey instead of chrome garnish. Another change is the blacked-out alloy wheels. Even the faux skid plates for the front and the rear end are now painted in black. The whole black theme has created a serious and intimidating look for the Safari Adventure Persona. Additionally, Tata also provides a new exterior shade called Tropical Mist which is exclusively available on the special edition.
Apart from exterior styling updates, Tata Safari Adventure Persona also receives an extensive makeover for the interior. Instead of the simple Orca White colour in the standard design, the Adventure Persona gets a black-brown colour scheme. While black is used for a large part of the interior, the upholstery and the door pads are brown, creating a nice contrasting for the cabin space. Dark chrome and piano black are also applied to add some accents to the interior design.
The changes in the Safari Adventure Persona are limited to the cosmetic design. The feature list of the Safari Adventure Persona remains identical to the standard model. Under the hood, it is the same 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine that performs the powering duty. This engine is capable of churning out a top power of 170 PS and peak torque of 350 Nm. There are two transmission options, an automatic and a manual transmission. Tata also offers ÉP-based multiple driving modes.
Tata Adventure Persona is based on the top-end XZ+ variants, hence, featuring all the bells and whistles that Tata offers for the Safari. It is available with both manual and automatic gearbox. The manual version is priced at Rs 20.20 lakh while the automatic version costs Rs 21.45 lakh.
