The carmake will lauch the 5-door version of Suzuki Jimny Sierra in India

Maruti Suzuki is planning to launch Jimny in India by next year. The off-roader was showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo. Suzuki is offering the three-door version of the SUV globally, but the carmaker will introduce the 5-door version of the car exclusively for India. The India-spec Suzuki Jimny will derive power from a 1.5-litre K15B petrol engine, which puts out 105 PS peak power and 138 Nm of twisting force. Transmission options will in include a 5-speed MT and a 4-speed torque converter automatic options. The same powertrains do duties in Maruti Ciaz, Ertiga, XL6 and even the upcoming petrol-powered S-Cross. Inside, the SUV will feature the company’s latest SmartPlay touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity and much more.
