Toyota's Fortuner and Innova, both are their respective segment leaders. They have got more expensive over the years, but if you want one now, check out this discount offer for both models.

Toyota has dominated the MUV and SUV segments with their Innova Crysta and Fortuner. Year after year, month after month, they are the best sellers in their respective segments. The Innova has a virtual monopoly in the MUV segment a over 50% share. Even though the Rs 30 lakh SUV segment has become crowded with the likes of the Mahindra Alturas G4, MG Gloster, and Ford Endeavour, the Fortuner still is the top seller in the class. Both vehicles offer powerful engines, spacious interiors, and unmatched reliability and aftersales service, making them the go-to-buys. If you’ve been on the fence to buy any of the two as they are quite expensive, you’ll love this discount offer then.

During the 2020 flood in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, some of the low lying Toyota showrooms in the states had to face water logging problems. Due to this, some of these brand-vehicles are getting a 20% discount on their ex-showroom price. That is quite a substantial saving when you realize that both these models can cost upwards of Rs 20 lakh easily. It has to be noted though that the offers are not from the company itself, but only from showrooms which had been affected by this predicament. These heavy discounts maybe also due to the fact that the 2021 Toyota Innova has been just been launched in the Indian market, and the updated Fortuner is slated for launch sometime next year.

Prices for the Toyota Fortuner range from Rs 28.66 lakh for the base rear-wheel-drive petrol and goes up to Rs 34.43 lakh for the flagship 4x4 diesel automatic, ex-showroom. As mentioned in their variant levels, the Fortuner has both petrol and diesel options. The petrol is a 2.7-litre N/A 4-pot engine which makes 165 PS/245 Nm of peak power and torque. The oil-burner is a 2.8-litre turbocharged unit which churns out max power and torque figures of 175 PS/450 Nm. Transmission options include a 5 or 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic.
