The upcoming Hyundai Venue will be priced at Rs 10.65 Lakh for the top-spec SX+ variant.

As per the leaked image, the top-spec SX+ variant of the Venue will get a sticker price of Rs 10.65 Lakh (ex-showroom). This trim has been confirmed to employ a new 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine combined with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The manual variant, namely SX (O) will be priced lower at Rs 10.09 Lakh (ex-showroom) while the top-spec 1.4-litre diesel trim SX (O) stands at the price point of Rs 10.42 Lakh (ex-showroom). For the lower variants, prices are yet to be revealed.

As you’ve already known, the Hyundai Venue will be introduced in India with three engine options including a 1.2-litre and 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine along with a 1.4-litre turbo diesel unit. That said, the 1.2-litre gasoline version, which is good for 83 bhp of power and 115 Nm of torque. will be offered with the low-spec E and S variants, while the smaller 1.0-litre turbo-petrol unit, which delivers 120 bhp/ 170 Nm torque, will be mated to a DCT and will be available in S and SX+ grades.

On the other hand, the 1.4-litre diesel motor option that comes from the successful sibling Hyundai Creta is capable of making a max power of 89 bhp and a torque figure of 224 Nm units. It will be paired with a 6-speed manual transmission but will miss out on an automatic transmission option. After hitting the showrooms on May 21, the Hyundai Venue will go up against the equivalent models in the segment like the Mahindra XUV300, Tata Nexon, Maruti Vitara Brezza or Ford Ecosport. Bookings for the Venue has already started for a token amount of Rs 21,000. With the prices turning out to be extremely competitive, it sounds likely that the Venue will soon find a huge fan-base. It will be a bit interesting to see how it closes in on the fight and how its biter market rivals react to the new competition.
