New Hyundai Santa Fe Specs and Details Are OUT

The all-new Hyundai Santa Fe 2021 has been revealed with a new design, new powertrain options and a comprehensively-upgraded interior. Alongside the ICE model, the upcoming Hyundai Santa Fe will also come with a hybrid version. It has been confirmed by Hyundai that the regular Santa Fe will be manufactured at its Alabama-based manufacturing facility while the hybrid version will roll out of the Ulsan plant in South Korea. The regular Hyundai Santa Fe will make it to the market first by the end of this year while the latter will hit the market in earlier next year.

According to the revealed images, the new Hyundai Santa Fe will get a comprehensively revised front design with a new bumper, three-dimensional grille and front skid plates. In addition, the upcoming SUV also features a set of 20-inch alloy wheels and new rear lighting.

On the inside, the Hyundai Santa Fe employs a floating centre console with larger audio and navigation display. The top-spec Santa Fe will come with a segment-leading 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster display. In addition, the new SUV also receives other key features like a digital key, remote start for adjusting cabin temperature, ventilated and heated seat, and Harman Kardon premium audio system, remote smart parking assist (RSPA), Dynamic Voice Recognition function as well as a wireless charging pad. Some of these vehicles are segment-exclusive. Apart from these features, the Hyundai Santa Fe also makes use of Nappa leather, which adds a premium feel to the cabin.

As for the safety features, the Hyundai Santa Fe is offered with Forward Collision Avoidance-assist with Pedestrian detection, Cyclist and Junction Turning Detection, new Parking Collision Avoidance Assist, highway drive assist, lane following assist, smart cruise control and road curve control.

Hyundai also offers a premium Calligraphy trim for buyers. This version is fully-loaded with upmarket features and advanced technologies. This edition is offered with a 2.5-litre turbocharged engine with HTRAC AWD with downhill brake control, 20-inch alloy wheels, a special grille and door design. Other features for the interior include quilted Nappa leather, full-colour heads-up display, eco-suede roof, ambient lighting and up/down rear window function.

For the hybrid version, Hyundai Santa Fe combines a 1.6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine with an electric motor. The internal combustion engine alone is capable of making 178 Bhp. The total power output of the hybrid powertrain is around 225 Bhp. Hyundai Indian has not yet confirmed anything about the new Hyundai Santa Fe launch in our market but we do hope that the South Korean car manufacturer will introduce it as flagship as the current-gen model.
