BSVI Honda City Now Available For Booking, Will Be Launched Soon

Some dealers confirmed that BSVI petrol Honda City is unofficially available for booking.

According to some recent reports, Honda dealers confirmed that bookings for new BSVI-compliant Honda City petrol are unofficially available. The new petrol Honda City is expected to launch in the upcoming weeks. However, the exact date, as well as the new pricing, remains to be seen. The price of BSVI Honda City petrol is expected to be more expensive by Rs 35,000 to Rs 40,000. It is revealed from dealer’s side that the delivery of the BSVI Honda City will be commenced in early December.

As reported earlier, Honda City petrol will be updated to meet the upcoming BSVI emission norms. Powering the Honda City petrol is a 1.5-litre four-cylinder naturally aspirated unit which is powerful enough to put out a maximum power of 119 Bhp. After receiving BSVI updates, the power output rate of this engine remains the same. Now, the 1.5-litre petrol comes with a standard manual gearbox. The availability of a CVT option is not confirmed yet.

Apart from the new BSVI-updated engine, Honda will keep the same variant options for the petrol range

After upgrading, Honda City petrol is likely to keep its current line-up, including four trims SV, V, VX and ZX. At the low end, the base SV variant is well-equipped with some safety standard features like ABS, dual airbags, and rear parking sensors. Additionally, the low-end Honda City also receives LED DRLs, alloy wheels, power window and wing mirrors. With regard to the comfort features, standard Honda City is given automatic air conditioner, Bluetooth-connected audio system, remote locking and cruise control. On the mid-range V variant, Honda City is available with some added features like keyless entry and go, 7.0-inch infotainment touchscreen and rear camera. On the high-spec VX variant, the Honda City is equipped with a sunroof, telescopic adjustable steering and auto-dimming rearview mirror and a set of larger alloy wheels. The safety is enhanced with the inclusion of side and curtain airbags. Besides, top-spec Honda City sports LED headlights, auto headlamps, auto wiper and leatherette upholstery.

2020 Honda City will make its debut in India market at the 2002 Auto Expo

After the petrol BSVI Honda City will be introduced, the diesel counterpart is expected to get BSVI updates soon before the new emission norms kick off in April 2020. In the meanwhile, on the global market, Honda City is due to receive the new-gen updates soon. It is expected that all-new Honda City will be launched in Thailand market in India. On the other hand, our market is likely to get the new all-new City in latter 2020.
