Maruti has sold-off the BSIV compliant inventory of Maruti Dzire AMT and is now selling the BSVI version with some substantial offers

It's not unusual to see huge discounts being offered on BSIV cars. However, manufacturers like Maruti Suzuki have almost sold out the old inventory and and are now rolling out offers on the new cars that are BSVI-compliant. This is being done in order to sustain a strong sales momentum in an era of uncertainty that prevails ahead of the rollout of stricter emission norms on 1 April, 2020. In line with this, the BSVI Maruti Dzire AMT is being sold with enough discount to undercut the sticker price of the Swift.

BSVI Maruti Dzire AMT Available for Price of New Swift AMT

The BS-VI Dzire is only available with the K-series 1.2-litre petrol engine that outputs 83PS and 113Nm.

The BSVI Maruti Dzire AMT is being sold with discounts worth Rs 82,000, which comprise a cash bonus of Rs. 45,000, exchange bonus of Rs. 25,000, a corporate benefit of Rs. 10,000 and freebies, like floormats, worth Rs 2,000. With this, the effective price of the VXI AGS variant reduces from Rs 7.20 lakh* to Rs 6.38 lakh. On the other hand, the VXI AGS variant of the Swift has an ex-showroom price of Rs 6.66 lakh*. So, basically, what this means is that you can drive home in a brand spanking new Dzire VXI AGS for much less money than what you would have paid for the same trim of Swift AGS.

The Dzire is one of the three top-selling cars of the country. It is offered with a 1.2L K-series petrol engine that has a rated power output of 83PS and a max. torque of 113Nm. It can be had mated to either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed AMT (AGS, in Maruti speak). The 1.3L Fiat-sourced diesel of the Dzire has been discontinued owing to the company's decision to stop selling diesel vehicles in BSVI era. The petrol variant of the Dzire is offered in a total of 4 trims, namely LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+. However, only the VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+ can be had with an AMT. But thanks to the discounts, even the higher AGS-equipped trims of the Dzire are cheaper than the same trims of the Swift.

The Dzire is a feature-packed car and offers the convenience of keyless entry and go with push-button start-stop system, all-4 power windows, LED DRLs and tail lamps, rear AC vents, LED projector setup for headlamps, Smartplay touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Carplay, automatic headlamps, automatic climate control, ABS with EBD and dual front airbags.
