Ford Mustang-based electrified SUV has been speculated in an exclusive rendering that hints at the idea of how the production model might look like.

Recently, Ford has confirmed the entrance of an electric SUV based on the legendary Ford Mustang which will probably go on sale towards the year-end of 2020. Ford’s confirmation has raised a whole bunch of curiosity among people, especially for the Mustang fans, about the upcoming Ford's electric sports utility vehicle. To the point of that, a digital illustrator from Kolesa has come up with a rendered visualisation of the Mustang-based EV, giving these enthusiasts a brief idea of the production model’s appearance.

A speculative visualised image has been released that gives us the first glimpse of the Ford Mustang-based EV.

Since it is developed on the world-renowned Mustang, it is believed that the fellow car will inherit the sporty demeanour from the base model. From the general look, what you can see here is, well, truly a Mustang SUV with a four-door design. The front fascia is as prominent as the standard Mustang but carrying a distinctive solid grille to remind us that it would be an electric affair. Several changes come behind the B-Pillar that has dropped a serious hint at the fastback silhouette that the car can carry. Specifically, the roofline gets an elaborate extension to the length of the four-door electric crossover that makes it good enough to accommodate three rear passengers as well as further increase the car’s overall roominess. The rear-end features a black panel along with a slew of horizontal LED light bars and a centrally-mounted GT logo. Besides, two parallel exhaust outlets, a set of Pirelli P Zero tyres with dashing wheel design as well as aggressive fenders are to name some highlighting features on the speculated Mustang-based electric vehicle. Yes, it is simply a flight of fancy albeit, this is at least what we could imagine on how the model could look like.

In terms of performance, the luxurious EV, like the fabulous beast Ford Mustang, is promised to give an easy and hassle-free experience on the go with a massive driving range of about 600 kilometres per one charge. Apart from the high power driving range, practicality and good performance are all the key points committed by the auto giant in order to make the new offering more appealing than the IC-engined bigger siblings on the lineup.

Targeted to be a perfect alternative to the standard Mustang, the Mustang-based all-electric crossover could be a runaway hit among prospective customers around the world. In the global market, the all-new Ford EV is set to rival the hot-selling Tesla Model X which is in the pipeline to enter India in the not-too-far future.
