The turbo variants of Nios also get a few changes on the outside as well as on the inside to differentiate itself from the other variants. The turbo variants get the interior done in a shade of black with red-inserts around the AC vents and on the seats. On the outside, the car gets a new glossy black radiator grille with a ‘Turbo’ badge engraved on the side just like the Aura. The Nios Turbo will be available in just 4 colour options comprising two single-tone options - Aqua Teal and Polar White - and two dual-tone colour options - Fiery Red with Black Roof and Polar White with Black Roof.

The Nios Turbo will be available in 4 colour options only.

Talking of the new 1.0L turbo-petrol motor, it is the same unit as seen on the Aura and Venue. However, in the Nios, it is in the same state of tune as Aura and produces identical power and torque figures of 100 PS and 173 Nm, respectively. The transmission duties on this engine will be performed by a 5-speed stick shift unit. The other engine options available with the Grand i10 Nios are – an 83 PS 1.2L N/A Kappa motor and a 73 PS 1.2L diesel engine. These engines were available with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT. Hyundai will continue to retail the Nios with these engines as well. With the introduction of the Turbo model, the third-gen i10 is now more powerful than the Hyundai Elite i20, which comes with a 1.2L Kappa motor.

The turbo variant gets black interior with red inserts to give the car a sporty appeal.

The Nios Turbo being a performance-oriented version of the car, will take on the likes of hot hatches, currently available in the market. That said, the Nios does not face much competition from the market and thus it would be interesting to see how well it performs on the sales chart.
