India-bound 2020 Toyota Corolla Prices Announced In US Market

The Japanese-branded car major, Toyota officially debuted the 12^th generation Toyota Corolla in the global market last year. After a couple of months, the automotive company now finally announces the price of the new Corolla, starting from $19.500 (about Rs 13.84 Lakh) in the US market. The all-new sedan will be introduced in 5 variants, namely L, LE, S, XLE and XSE.

It is notable that the completely redesigned 12^th-gen Corolla sedan will join the Corolla hatchback, Camry, C-HR and Prius on the TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture) platform. That said, the all-new 2020 Toyota Corolla will hand over a sportier silhouette and more agile and robust handling on the tarmac. Features are hence extensively updated on the brand new model, especially for the entry-level L grade which comes offered with various premium features such as LED headlights and taillights, body-coloured wing mirror, 7-inch infotainment display, 4.3-inch multi-information display tilt and telescopic steering, 6-speaker audio system, electrical windows, Toyota Sense 2.0 driving assistance, rearview camera and more. However, a set of 15-inch steel wheels are offered on the base L variant instead of the alloy wheels. Meanwhile, the top-spec XSE trim will be equipped with 16-inch alloy wheels, adaptive headlamps, heated front seat, 8-way electrically adjustable driver seat, Softex upholstery, JBL premium audio system, wireless charger, ambient lighting system, keyless entry, start push-button, 7-inch MID display, blind spot warning system and so on.

On the safety front, the 2020 Corolla sedan is set to refine the reputable safest car name in the automotive space. The entry-level model is integrated with cutting-edge safety assistance and features comprising Pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, lane departure alert with steering assist, lane tracing assist, road sign assist, Full-speed range dynamic radar cruise control and many more.

Powering the 2020 Toyota Corolla is a range of 1.8-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine (for entry-level variant) churning out 141 PS and 170 Nm torque along with a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder gasoline burner (for SE models) delivering 171 PS of max power and 204 Nm of peak torque. Power will be transferred to the front wheels via a continuously variable automatic transmission. Remarkably, the all-new 12^th-gen Corolla sedan is also available with hybrid technology alongside the powertrain system. The hybrid powertrain is slated to produce a combined output of 122 PS for the vehicle.

The India-bound 2020 Toyota Corolla will make its India launch after the 2020 Auto Expo which is scheduled to take place between Feb 06 and 09, 2020.
