Tata Hexa Gets A Price Increase, More Expensive Than Tata Harrier

With the price hike, the Tata Hexa is now positioned above the Tata Harrier and become the flagship vehicle of the company.

Shortly after the launch of the Tata Harrier, Tata Motors has updated the price of the Hexa. The SUV is now priced in the range from Rs 12.99 lakh for the base variant to Rs 18.16 lakh for the top variant (ex-showroom, Delhi). Specifically, the base XE variant has been increased by Rs 42,000 in price whereas the rest variants get a price rise of Rs 19,000 each. Accordingly, the Tata Hexa is the most expensive vehicle in Tata Motors’ portfolio.

The Hexa will continue to be offered in seven variants with one motor option and three transmission options. Under the hood of the Tata Hexa is a 2.2L 4-cylinder diesel motor. For the base XE variant, this engine is good for 150 hp of maximum power against 320 Nm of peak torque and is coupled to a five-speed MT gearbox. For the other higher variants, the maximum power/torque figures are 156 hp and 400 Nm, respectively; the transmission duties are undertaken by a six-speed MT or AT gearbox. A 4-wheel drive system is equipped on only the top-of-the-line XT trim and with the MT gearbox.

The Tata Hexa is available with an engine option and three transmission options

In the Tata Hexa’s test drive, it shows some of the outstanding features such as the fashionable appearance, amber cabin and impressive riding quality. Currently, the Tata Hexa is the most costly passenger vehicle until the 7-seater version of the Harrier, codenamed as H7X, is launched at a later time this year.
