Toyota Vellfire Bookings Opened At Select Dealerships

Earlier this week, Toyota has started dispatching the new Vellfire to its dealerships. The all-new Vellfire is expected to sit at somewhere around Rs 75 Lakh (Ex-showroom). Now, reports insist that bookings for the Toyota Vellfire have been opened at company’s select dealerships.

Some select Toyota dealerships have started bookings for the Vellfire in the run-up to its launch in the comming weeks.

The new Toyota Vellfire is coming as the most premium Toyota offering in the MPV segment. Rolled out from new Plant in Inabe Japan, the Vellfire is offered in 7-seat and 8-seat layouts internationally. The India-spec version is getting the 7-seat configuration only.

Even for the styling design, there are also two versions available in the global market, namely Standard Body and Aero Body. The former version is destined for our country. Just like other imported models barring the Toyota Camry Hybrid, the Vellfire will enter India via the CBU route and is set to come as a niche product.

The new Vellfire is said to be a large premium luxurious condo on the wheels.

As for the dimensions, the all-new Toyota Vellfire measures 4,935 mm long, 1,850 mm wide and 1,935/ 1,950 mm high. The ground clearance ranges from 160 to 170 mm, depending upon the select configuration. Powering the Vellfire is a 182 PS/235 Nm 2.5-litre petrol engine paired with a CVT option along with a 301 PS/361 Nm 3.5-litre petrol motor mated to an 8-speed AT unit. The 2.5-litre petrol model also gets a hybrid system which combines a 2FM electric motor (68 PS/139 Nm) and a 2JM electric motor (143 PS/ 270 Nm). The Indian-spec Vellfire is confirmed to get the hybrid powertrain system as standard.

The new MPV is packed with multiple advanced features offering the greatest convenience and comfort for its passengers.

In terms of equipment, the luxury MPV will be equipped with LED headlamps, sequential turn signals, electrically-operated sliding doors and tailgate, power ventilated second row of seats with reclining function, multicolour ambient mood lighting, three-zone auto climate control, twin moon roof, 7 airbags and more. The faux-wood treatment will be kitted out on the dashboard, steering wheel and gear level among some others. The Toyota Vellfire will go on sale in India in four body colour options – Black, Graphite, Burning Black and Pearl White. The Vellfire will compete directly with the Mercedes-Benz V-Class which is priced in the range of Rs 68.40 – 81.90 Lakh (ex-showroom, India).
