Volkswagen is about to bring the second batch of T-Roc to the Indian market. This time, the T-Roc will be available at Rs. 21.35 lakh, which is higher by Rs. 1.36 lakh. Read more details here.

Last year, Volkswagen has launched the T-Roc in the Indian market. However, the German car brand only distributed a limited number of this model in our market. The SUV was imported in India under the government’s regulation that allows the foreign car brand to import up to 2,500 units without homologation. Within six months, 1000 units of the first batch were sold out. Recently, Volkswagen revealed that the second batch of Volkswagen T-Roc will embark on the Indian shore soon. Previously, the T-Roc was priced at Rs 19.99 lakh (ex-showroom). This time around, the price of this SUV has gone up to Rs. 21.35 lakh, which is Rs. 1.36 lakh higher than the initial price.

Even though the price has gone up a bit, it is not the end yet. According to Volkswagen, this is only an introductory price and can be changed later. At the moment, the second batch of Volkswagen T-Roc has not arrived yet. However, interested buyers can book this model at some select VW dealerships for a token amount of Rs. 50,000. The delivery of this model is expected to commence by the end of this month.

Due to the positive responses from the market, it is likely that Volkswagen will start localizing this model at a later stage. It is not yet revealed how many units of the T-Roc will be imported to India in the second batch. Previously, the Volkswagen T-Roc was available in one single variant.

The success of the T-Roc can be contributed to its outstanding build quality, excellent driving dynamics and attractive design. From the outside, the SUV looks appealing with LED DRLs, headlights with projectors, dual-tone alloy wheels, and more. Also, the T-Roc also comes with a panoramic sunroof.

Under the hood, it is powered by a 1.5-litre TSI EVO petrol engine that makes 150 PS and 250 Nm. This engine is mated to a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox. With this powertrain system, the T-Roc can sprint from idle to 100 kmph in 8.4 seconds. It can reach a top speed of 205 kmph.
