On 2nd October 2020, Mahindra & Mahindra launched the new-gen Thar in the Indian market. The all-new Mahindra off-roader is getting an amazing response from the enthusiasts around the country. The new owners of the 2020 Mahindra Thar have also started customizing it as per their preference to make it look more striking. One of the main modifications done on the SUV by its owners is the employment of aftermarket alloy wheels. Here are a few images of 2020 Mahindra Thar, which gets big 20-inch alloy wheels.

The stock model of the SUV comes with 5-spoke, 18-inch alloy wheels, which do not look that good. The 2020 Mahindra Thar you see here employs 20-inch multi-spoke, grey coloured alloy wheels. These aftermarket rims have enhanced the overall look of the SUV. These alloy wheels are of RPM brand and the mod job has been done by Velocity Tyres Ludhiana, Punjab.

The overall customization cost is not known, but one can directly contact the modifier for more information. Other than this, no modification has been done on the SUV. Talking about 2020 Mahindra Thar, the SUV is getting an amazing response from the buyers around the country. The automaker has registered over 20,000 bookings of the SUV, and the waiting period of the car is now stretched between five to seven months. Moreover, to due heavy demand, the carmaker has stopped accepting bookings for the AX Std and AX trims of the SUV till May 2021.

The automaker has also planned to ramp up the production of the new-gen Mahindra Thar from 2000 to 3000 units from next month. Mechanically, it derives power from 2.0-litre petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engine. The former churns out 150bhp of peak power and 300 Nm of torque, while the latter develops 130 PS and 300 Nm of torque. The engine comes coupled to a 6-speed MT or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. It gets retailed at a starting price of Rs 9.80 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
