All-new Ford EcoSport Visualized in a Speculative Rendering

The American carmaker Ford introduced its first-ever sub-4-meter named- EcoSport in our market back in 2013, and it is the company’s top-selling car in India till now. The dated Ford SUV is due for a comprehensive update, which is expected to be launched as a new-gen model. Reports suggest that the all-new Ford EcoSport is already under development. The carmaker has not revealed any information officially regarding the SUV, but the rendering artists around the world are using their creativity to imagine the all-new Ford EcoSport. Here’s a recent rendering of the new-gen EcoSport by Kleber Silva, which is inspired by the Equator or Ford Evos. Ford Evos was recently revealed by the carmaker at the 2021 Shanghai Motor Show. 

The front fascia of the car gets a new set of vertically split headlights with J-shaped LED DRLs at the top of the headlights. The front grille also seems to be quite bigger in size and gets 3D chrome inserts along with a chrome slat at the top. The SUV also employs a faux bash plate up front, finished in the silver colour shade at the bottom of the front bumper. The side profile of the SUV looks very similar to that of the outgoing model, however, it gets a new set of alloy wheels. Just like the ongoing model, the SUV also gets a pair of roof rails and a sunroof. At the rear, one can see a completely new boot lid design, which is inspired by the Ford Equator.

Like the new Ford EcoSport SE, this digital rendering doesn’t feature a tailgate-mounted spare wheel. The cabin design of the car hasn’t been showcased here, but one can expect the interior of the new-gen Ford EcoSport will get some comprehensive updates. The new-gen Ford EcoSport will derive power from 1.5-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre turbo diesel mill, maybe the carmaker will make a few upgrades to increase the power and fuel efficiency. Earlier, the carmaker was planning to get powertrains from Mahindra & Mahindra for its upcoming SUVs, but those plans were dropped as the partnership between both firms got completely dissolved.
