Modified New Mahindra Thar Gets Purposeful Mods With Custom Doors

Here’s a 2020 Mahindra Thar, which gets a lot of aftermarket customizations. It derives power from a petrol and diesel mill.

On 2nd October 2020, Mahindra & Mahindra launched the new-gen Thar in the Indian market. As expected, it got rapidly popular among the off-road enthusiasts around the country. The main purpose of the carmaker is to offer an SUV, which is a capable off-roader and can also be used for daily commuting. Like the first-gen model, the 2020 Mahindra Thar has also got popular among the modifiers as they customize the SUV as per their preference. Here’s a highly-modified Mahindra Thar, which gets a lot of purposeful modifications.

Front-side-look-of-2020-Mahindra-Thar

Talking about the customizations, the front fascia of the SUV, it gets an off-road bumper, which consists of fog lamps, an electric winch and two towing hooks. The radiator grille of the car has been blacked-out. Upfront, it also gets limb riser. For better illumination, the modifier has employed LED bar light on the roof of the SUV. On the side, it gets off-road spec tyres for better off-roading. Moreover, the doors of the SUV have been replaced by custom door trim. The side steps offered with the regular model of the SUV are ditched by rock sliders. It seems that the customizer has increased the height of the SUV by 1-inch. All these modifications are done on the soft-top version of the new-gen Mahindra Thar.

Talking about the SUV, Mechanically, it gets propelled by 2.0-litre petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engine. The former develops power and torque outputs of 150bhp and 320 Nm, while the latter is capable of shredding out 130bhp of peak power and 300 Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties are done by a 6-speed MT or a 6-speed automatic gearbox. he 2020 model of the SUV is offered in three different trim levels namely- AX, AX(O) and LX. It gets retailed at a starting price of Rs 9.80 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the base trim and goes all the way up to Rs 13.75 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the top-spec variant.
