Kia Sonet will come with the largest touchscreen display in its segment with a Bose sound system. What does the overall output of this unit feel like? Take a look here.

Kia Sonet is easily the most awaited upcoming SUV in the country. Like the Seltos, the Sonet will also come loaded with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with a Bose sound system. The sound system of the Seltos has been appreciated by the critics and the users for its overall output. However, what about the Bose unit of the Sonet? Here’s a video that we came across on YouTube channel of Swift Lifestyle, which gives an idea of the Bose sound system on the Kia Sonet. In the video, the host plays a song on the system and records the output from the first and second row of seats.

For the most part, the audio is crisp and clear. A definite bass effect can also be felt in the audio. This, however, feels identical to the Seltos’s sound system, which certainly is a good thing. Sadly, Kia is not going to offer this premium sound system in the lower-spec trims of the Sonet. Talking of the infotainment unit, Sonet gets the biggest touchscreen display in its segment, which is housed in a similar unibody fashion like the Seltos. It will also offer 57 connected car features. The Sonet will be loaded to the brim with features, like ventilated front seats, wireless phone charging dock, cruise control, electronic sunroof, multi-drive modes, remote engine start, ambient lighting, 6-airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system and more.

Powering the Sonet will be a slew of engine options. To start with, it will get a 1.2L 4-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol motor that will push out 83 PS/113 Nm. It will be offered with a 5-speed MT only. The next engine option on the list is a 1.0L 3-cylinder turbo-petrol motor with a rated output of 120 PS/172 Nm. The gearbox options for this motor include a 6-speed MT, 7-speed DCT, and 6-speed iMT. The last one is a 1.5L 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine. It will be offered in two states of tunes – 100 PS/240 Nm (fixed geometry turbo) and 115 PS/250 Nm (variable geometry turbo). It will be available with two gearbox options – 6-speed MT and 6-speed AT.
