Cricketer Shubman Gill received the brand new Mahindra Thar as a gift from Anand Mahindra. He got the LX hardtop version of the Mahindra off-roader.
Early this year, the Chairman of Mahindra and Mahindra Group, Mr Anand Mahindra announced that he will be gifting 6 Mahindra Thar SUVs to debutants in the Indian cricket team. He had decided to offer this gift to the cricketers for their exceptionally good performance in the India-Australia test series. One of the six cricketers who received the new-gen Mahindra Thar was Shubman Gill. He recently got the all-new Mahindra off-roader. The cricketer has recently shared pictures of his parents and sister taking delivery of the 2020 Mahindra Thar on Twitter. He was not present to receive the car as he is currently busy playing Indian Premier League 2021.
On Twitter, Shubman Gill writes, “It’s a great feeling to receive the Mahindra Thar, and I wish, I was there to collect this beast. Anand Mahindra sir I am grateful and a big thank you to you for this gesture. Playing for India has been an honour, and I will strive to give my best every time I step out on the field.”
Other than Shubman Gill, Shradhul Thakur, Navdeep Saini, Washington Sundar, Mohammad Siraj, and T Natarajan are the five cricketers who received the brand new Mahindra Thar.
