First-ever Modified 2021 Hyundai Elantra from China Looks Sick

Hyundai Elantra is the most expensive saloon sold by the South-Korean carmaker in the Indian market. While the 6th-gen model in its facelifted avatar is currently on sale on our shores, Hyundai has launched the 7th-gen iteration in some international markets. Also, Hyundai has introduced the N-Line trim of the 2021 Elantra abroad. Since there’s some time for the 2021 Hyundai Elantra to reach the Indian dealerships, we can surely gaze at some tastefully-tuned examples from the markets that it is currently sold in. With hunt started, we came across this rather great-looking example of the new-gen Hyundai Elantra that now dons a custom livery along with some cosmetic changes.

To start with, it gets massive front splitter that lends it with an aggressive-looking face. The splitter extends to the sides with shark fins and is finished with red inserts. The theme of red inserts is continued on the bonnet, which now gets faux air vents too. And the Hyundai logo is now moved from the radiator grille to the bonnet.

On the sides, it continues with the stock rims that come with a diamond-cut finish. However, the red decals are used to break the visual bulk and add some drama in the lovely side profile. Sharp detailing has been done for the taillamps too. At the rear, things look rather flashy with the addition of a custom diffuser and a spoiler to help it with some distinction.

The 2021 Hyundai Elantra comes with a 2.0L 4-cylinder NA petrol engine, which is paired to a CVT only and develops rated power and torque outputs of 147 PS and 179 Nm, respectively. Also, there’s an option of a 1.6L hybrid power plant that uses a 32 kW electric motor, which is powered by a 1.32 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. Together, this setup puts out a rated power output of 139 PS and max torque of 264 Nm. Transmission duties are performed by a 6-speed DCT here. The new-gen Elantra is yet to be introduced in the Indian market and is expected to go on sale by the end of this year.
