You would've come across a video clip where a Ford EcoSport is seen struggling to climb an incline. Here's a video revealing the reason and workaround of this issue.

Ford EcoSport is one of the oldest names in the sub-4m compact-SUV segment. It was launched for the first time in the country in the year 2013. Till date, the EcoSport remains the same in terms of its overall design and mechanicals. The FWD sub-compact SUV is quite capable of handling bad roads since it offers a ground clearance of 200 mm. However, we recently came across a video where a Ford EcoSport can be seen struggling to climb a concrete ramp. But, we came across another video on YouTube, which reveals the reason for the same. This video was uploaded by My Motor Gaadi.

In the video, the host explains the reason, why Ford EcoSport struggles to climb on the concrete ramp. As when climbing on a positive gradient, the centre of mass of the car shifts on to its rear wheels. Therefore, the rear wheels possess more traction than the front wheels. Moreover, the front wheels now have to lug the weight of the complete car while overcoming the friction offered by the rear wheels. Resultantly, the EcoSport, in this case, ends up facing issues in climbing the concrete ramp.

The video contains several other clips of Ford EcoSport, RC trucks, and cars like Tata Nexon and more. Also, the host explains the ways to reduce the chances of not getting stuck. One can try to reduce the gross weight of the car by asking the occupants to get off and or by unloading the luggage from the boot. Another way to avoid getting stuck in this situation is by preserving the momentum. Also, one can use traction pads, in case the car has beached down on a soft surface.
