Ford EcoSport is considered to be a safe car. Here's one, which has proved its mettle while it met with an accident with a truck at high speeds.

The EcoSport was travelling at speeds of around 80 - 90 kmph on a highway at night; while it crashed into a truck, which was coming from the opposite direction. It was a head-on collision, which took place at high speeds. At the time of the accident, there were 3 other passengers along with the driver in the car, and all of them walked out of its safely with minor injuries. However, the EcoSport suffered serious damages to the front-end, which can be seen in the pictures above. As a result, the bonnet has undergone complete deformation, while the engine components have also been damaged. Nevertheless, the side fenders have not suffered severe damage, and the rims are still in good condition, which shows that the Ford EcoSport was good at absorbing the energy of the impact.

The owner did not get the car insured; therefore, the damage to the car is not covered by the insurance. Accordingly, he had to pay approximately INR 7.5 lakh for the car’s repair. It is unreasonable to invest INR 7.5 lakh to repair an EcoSport which is priced from INR 8.17 lakh to INR 11.71 lakh. With some more cash at hand, the owner could've purchased a new one instead.
