Skoda has just revealed its new Kushaq compact SUV, and it will go on sale by July 2020. Today we have this render of a more rugged and off-road centric Skoda Kushaq Scout here. Check it out.

The Skoda Kodiaq Scout was a more off-road centric variant of the regular Kodiaq. It came with a host of changes like new skid plates and black plastic cladding around the wheel arches to differentiate from the regular model as well as make it a bit more rugged. And as Skoda has just revealed their latest compact SUV for India, the Kushaq, we wondered if the automaker may make a Scout version of it as well. Today we have this render that imagines what a Kushaq Scout may look like.

The video of this render has been uploaded by rendering specialist, SRK Designs on YouTube. Named the Skoda Kushaq Scout, it gets a new shade of Forest Green while the front faux skid plate has been extended across the full width of the front. Over to the side, the regular Kushaq’s alloys have been replaced with a new design which is similar to the ones of the Kodiaq Scout. There are new white roof rails, chrome garnish on the door sill and ORVMS, and the Skoda badge on the fender has been binned for a SCOUT one. Overall, most of the changes in this render are cosmetic, which means that a Kushaq Scout version won’t be very tough to produce.

The Skoda Kushaq is based on the Vision IN Concept that was showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo. The Kushaq is the first vehicle under the VW group’s India 2.0 project and will utilize heavy localisation of parts to keep costs low. It has already achieved a 95% localisation level with the new MQB-A0-IN platform it is based on.
