The Pravaig Extinction MK1 is a homegrown EV that intends to take on the best of the EV auto companies. With a claimed ranged similar to the Tesla Model Y, it is a vehicle which raises eyebrows.
Pravaig Dynamics, a Bengaluru based electric vehicle startup has recently revealed its first fully-electric vehicle, the Pravaig Extinction MK1. The Indian auto startup intends to bring India to the forefront of the electric vehicle revolution. The Extinction MK1 surely looks like a futuristic vehicle, with the first prototype was spotted testing around Delhi after being revealed.
From the exterior, the Pravaig Extinction MK1 has a coupe silhouette that is low and sleek. The front gets a thin grille with an integrated LED light bar that runs the full length of the front end and connects both headlights. This style is also used for the rear end with an LED bar joining the rear lamps. It gets sporty 17-inch alloys wrapped in low-profile tyres. The interiors are sparse, but that is expected since it is only a prototype currently. The production version of the Pravaig Extinction MK1 will come fully loaded with features like 160-degree reclinable seats, an electric sunroof, ambient lighting, electrically adjustable leather seats, a large touchscreen infotainment system, a premium audio system, a digital instrument cluster and much more.
The company’s official website states that the Pravaig Extinction MK1 will make peak power figure of 150 KW, and 0-100 kmph times are stated at 5.4 seconds. It will reach a claimed top speed of 196 kmph. It is powered by a 96 kWh battery pack that gives it a theoretical range of 504 km, which is close to the Tesla Model Y’s claimed range of 508 km. It will come with fast-charge capabilities which can provide up to 80% charge in just 30 minutes. For now, The Pravaig Extinction MK1 will be available on a lease basis for commercial fleet operators.
