Maruti XL6 Converted Into a 7-seater MPV

Right now, Maruti Suzuki is the biggest automaker in India. They offer a variety of models, which are spread across different segments. The automaker retails its cars through Nexa and Arena chain of dealerships. The Nexa dealership network deals in premium cars like Ciaz, Baleno. The carmaker also offers a premium MPV named XL6. It is a much more premium version of Ertiga. In the international market, XL6 is sold as XL7. The main difference between both models is the seating layout. The XL7 is being offered with bench seats, while the XL6 gets captain seats. Here’s a recent video, where a customizer has modified the regular XL6 to a 7-seater MPV.

This video has been uploaded by a YouTube channel named VIG AUTO ACCESSORIES. The vlogger starts the video by showing modifications done on the car. Most of them are done inside the cabin of the car. The middle row of Maruti XL6 comes with captain seats for more comfort. To make it a bit more practical, the customizer has added one more seat. Now, the middle row of this XL6 can accommodate three passengers at once. But we doubt whether a person can fit in that space or not. The stock captain seats on the car were not removed and an extra seat for the third passenger has been created by fulfilling the space between both seats.

This aftermarket seat can be folded down to convert it into a larger armrest with a cup holder. The seats are covered with the ultra-soft seat cover. This gives the cabin a premium plusher look. Other than the addition of an extra market seat, the MPV also gets illuminated scuff plates, multi-colour ambient lighting, leather padding with grey stitching on door panels, an upgraded speaker system to enhance the audio quality. The modifier has also added aftermarket LED DRLs inside the headlight. Mechanically, it gets propelled by a 1.5-litre NA gasoline mill, which comes paired with a 5-speed MT or a 4-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.
