Maruti WagonR is a tall-boy hatchback offering from the largest carmaker of the country. It is loved by the Indian audience for the space it offers at an affordable price tag. However, it isn’t sporty at all, neither in terms of looks nor in terms of driving dynamics. But that has not stopped some WagonR owners from modifying their possessions to look like go-faster machines. Here’s one that we came across, and it belongs to Akash Ashok, who hails from Kerela. Also, he doesn’t own a regular WagonR. He owns the WagonR Stingray, instead. It was a sportier iteration of the last-gen WagonR. Though, it was sportier, only aesthetically.

Although, if there’s anything tuned under the hood, we are not aware of it. As such, Maruti too never offered the WagonR Stingray with a powerful engine, but it was adequate for a car of this size. It came with a 1.0L 3-pot petrol motor that was good to put out a peak power output of 68 PS and a max torque of 90 Nm. It was offered with 2 transmission options – 5-speed MT and 5-speed AMT.
