It is widely known that Ford is working on a C-SUV which will be based on the next-gen Mahindra XUV500. More than just a rebadged version, the new C SUV will have a distinguished identity.

With the Ford EcoSport, Ford has paved the way for the compact SUV space to grow in the Indian market. However, since the car has started to lose its appeal to the customers, Ford feels the pulse to step up its game. The American car manufacturer has formed a partnership with Mahindra, a leading utility vehicle manufacturer in India for its upcoming vehicles. One of the vehicles developed under this joint venture is the new Ford C SUV based on the Mahindra XUV500.
