The flagship SUV of Hyundai, the Santa Fe, has been discontinued in India last year. Recently, some reports have revealed that the Premium Santa Fe will make a comeback to India in the coming time.

Because of low sales figures, Hyundai had to pull out the previous generation of Santa Fe from India’s official website last year. The sales figures of the Santa Fe over July and August 2017 were 14 units and 1 unit, respectively. The direct competitors of the Santa Fe, the Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavor achieved good numbers that caused the Santa Fe’s figures to fall sharply.

It is currently believed that the South-Korean Carmaker are planning to make a return for the premium SUV Santa Fe with scores of updates in design. First showcased at Hyundai’s Motorstudio Goyang in Seoul, South Korea, the new gen Hyundai Santa Fe comes as an option for who would like premium drivability or full-size premium SUV.

The new gen Hyundai Santa Fe SUV will experience a variety of design and feature upgrades including:

  • New cascading grille

  • New LED headlamps with LED DRLs

  • Revised LED tail lamps

  • 19-inch diamond-cut wheels

Interior updates include 7-inch driver information display, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless smartphone charging, etc.
