Toyota TRD Limited Edition was introduced as the accessorized version of the regular Toyota Fortuner. This particular model is based on the top-spec model of Toyota Fortuner. Exterior-wise, the TRD Limited Edition is adorned with extra styling elements like a sporty bumper, all-black 18-inch alloy wheels, and a lot of TRD badges. In addition, Toyota also gets a dual-tone exterior paint scheme.

This special edition is also fitted with a host of extra features on the inside. It gets a 360-degree view camera system, auto-folding mirrors, and illuminated scuff plates. Additionally, the interior also receives some aesthetic updates like the dual-tone dashboard and seat upholstery. Other than these new updates, the customers are also offered with add-ons like air ionizer, wireless smartphone charger, Tire pressure monitoring system, head-up display and DVR (Digital Video Recorder) from the Special Technology Package.

These new features command a premium over the standard version. Toyota Fortuner TRD Limited Edition was priced at Rs 34.98 lakh for the 4x2 version and Rs 36.88 lakh for 4x4 version. The standard trims which these models are based on cost Rs 32.53 lakh and Rs 34.43 lakh, respectively. These variants of the regular line-up were Rs 2.45 lakh cheaper than the TRD versions. Toyota Fortuner TRD Limited Edition variants were based on the top-spec diesel-automatic trims of the Toyota Fortuner.

Even though these extra goodies sound fascinating, they do meet the expectation for a premium SUV like Toyota Fortuner. Moreover, despite all these added accessories, it could not help Toyota Fortuner escape from the fact that its interior design is a bit outdated.
