You are wondering how to open the soft convertible roof of the Mahindra Thar; here is a video which shows you the detailed guideline on how to implement this process.
The prices of the new Mahindra Thar have been announced, followed by the commencement of the bookings for the new SUV across the country. The off-road SUV is now priced from INR 9.8 lakh to INR 13.75 lakh (ex-showroom). The SUV is available in three rooftop versions: a removable soft top (convertible), a soft-top roof and a hardtop roof. A convertible off-road SUV at a reasonable price seems to be an interesting option. For buyers who have booked the soft-top convertible version which is only offered in the LX trims, below is a detailed video which shows how to remove the soft top to help it become a convertible.
Actually being a fabric material, the roof of the new Mahindra Thar can only be removed in the convertible version. Firstly, you need to unzip the rear windscreen area of the rooftop. After that, the roof needs to be unhooked to find the clips inside the cabin, behind the roll-over bar. Then open the roof and elegantly fold it to fit in the boot. Then the 2020 Mahindra Thar convertible is ready for you to drive and enjoy. To close the roof, you just need to implement the same process. Firstly, stretch the roof until it is covered. After that, enter the cabin to put on the clips. In the regular soft-top version, these clips are not available to remove the roof covering.
You can even have the hardtop version changed into a convertible by taking it to the mechanic who will help you remove some bolts and nuts. Nevertheless, the whole process may take you a long time and can even charge you some money.
