Even though the test was given to the Octavia 1.5 TSI Ambition wagon only, the test result is applicable across the range including the sedan version as well. It also means that 5-star safety rating is valid for all the variants in the line-up consisting of 1.0-litre petrol, 2.0-litre petrol model, 1.0-litre petrol/mild-Hybrid, 1.5-litre petrol/mild-Hybrid, 1.5-litre CNG, and 2.0-litre diesel variants. The only exception is the 1.4-litre petrol/plug-in hybrid variant which just entered the line-up recently, since hybrid cars require further testing to determining the “mass outside tolerance” according to the test result.
