Badminton Champion PV Sindhu Is Gifted A BMW X5 By Actor Nagarjuna

Actor Akkineni Nagarjuna has gifted the shuttling champion PV Sindhu a 2019 BMW X5.

PV Sindhu has recently proved her mettle by her skill set of shuttling at the BWF world championship by bagging a gold medal. She has been catching up all the limelight these days and the channel of gifts she is receiving is not expected to stop any time soon. With felicitation from state and central government, Sindhu is being congratulated by brands too. But very recently she has been gifted a swanky new BMW X5 from the South-Indian movie star Akkineni Nagarjuna.

Nagarjuna gifts PV SIndhu a BMW X5 over her win in the BWF World Championship.

The felicitation ceremony was concluded by the vice-president of Telangana Badminton Association, V. Chamundeswaranath. It also registered the presence of P Gopichand, Sindhu’s coach. The X5 gifted to Sindhu is a result of Nagarjuna’s effort of pooling in money from like-minded acquaintances and the corporate honchos, making it a 22nd such gift from his side.

The X5 gifted to PV Sindhu is a very recently launched model, and it is been said that the brand ambassador of BMW and the lord of cricket, Sachin Tendulkar has also reaped in his efforts for this SUV. The exact variant of the car is still is not known yet. The X5 is launched in India in two trim levels i.e. xDrive30d Sport and XDriver 30d xLine at a sticker price of 72.90 Lacs and 82.40 Lacs respectively.

Even the lesser xDrive 30d variants set one back by almost 80 Lacs when calculated On-road. This being the latest and fourth generation of the car, is the biggest and boldest wearing an X5 badge, thus oozes out a lot of bling and road-presence. The kidney-shaped grille on this BMW is also bigger and so is the features list. The exterior lighting on the car is all LED, with adaptive headlamps, LED fog lamps, and LED rear tail lamps filling the spaces. The car also gets a panoramic sunroof, 21” alloy wheels, and AWD as standard.

The interiors of the car are dominated by two screens in each row. Centrally mounted floating touch-screen display on the dashboard for the infotainment system now come enabled with the iDrive system that lets the screen be controlled by gestures. Another screen is mounted in the instrument console giving the driver a digital cockpit experience. On the second-row passengers can entertain themselves by another 2 screens. The car also gets wireless charging pad to showcase the level of detail BMW can put into their cars.

Powering the X5 is a Diesel guzzler this time with 3.0 liters of displacement and belting out a power output of 261 BHP and an enormous torque release of 620Nm with the help of turbo spools. The car can reach a tonne in just 6.1 seconds which is pretty exhilarating for an SUV this size.
