Among the BS6 cars in India, the Maruti Swift is rather the most iconic. Ever since the first Swift hit the market in 2005, the hatchback car has been around the Indian market for a long period and never lost its charm for this long.

While the older gen Swift was a hot favourite in the budget-end segment, the same happens to the BSVI-compliant car. That’s why Swift makes it to the list of BS6 cars in India.

In its BS6 form, the Maruti Swift carries forwards the same engine options including 1.2-litre petrol engine as found in the Baleno, good for 82 PS/ 113 Nm while discontinued the 1.3-litre diesel mill option from the lineup. Recently, images of the 2021 Swift have emerged around the Internet, giving us a clear idea of what to expect from the new Swift that is set to launch in late 2020.
