The Kia Sonet has caught the buyer's eye ever since its launch recently, but Maruti Vitara Brezza has a few features the Sonet doesn't get. Details below.

The Kia Sonet is the third car after the Seltos and the Carnival that the brand has launched and has proven to be an instant success. It launched in September this year and has already found more than 10,000 happy homes due to its new and modern styling, feature-heavy trim levels, and eye-catching price range. It competes against the likes of the new Nissan Magnite, Maruti Vitara Brezza, and its sibling the Hyundai Venue in a tightly packed segment. We have a video today that has been uploaded by Mechanical Jugadu on YouTube which pits the Sonet HTK+ vs the Vitara Brezza VXI.

The video is not a road test review, but a comparison between the two vehicles in specs, features, and engines. The Kia Sonet has a better and more modern interior, getting rear ac vents and a front armrest with storage space while the Brezza has none. The Sonet also gets an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Carplay compatibility and also gets a better audio system with 6 speakers. It gets a bigger boot with 393 litres than the Brezza’s at 328 litres, making it better for longer trips. On the outside, it gets automatic headlamps with the to follow me home feature and also gets projector foglamps. The Sonet gets a reverse camera with guidelines while the Brezza gets none.

The Maruti Vitara Brezza does come with a  few features the Sonet doesn’t have, like dual LED projector headlamps and DRLs while the Sonet has to do with halogen units. It gets keyless entry and start/stop as well. The interior of the Brezza though identical to the Sonet is a bit wider which makes seating three at the back a more pleasant experience. It also gets 4 reverse parking sensors compared to only 2 in the Sonet. But the main positive of buying the Maruti over the Kia is the unparalleled service network of the former, and it will be a while till Kia can catch up. If you stay a bit further away from the metro cities, then the Maruti may be a better choice for you.
