Nearly a month ago, Kia Sonet made its debut in the production avatar. It is going to be launched soon, and the display units have started reaching the dealerships already. Bookings for the Sonet are open as well. It is receiving a warm response from the Indian audience. Here’s a video that we came across on YouTube, which was uploaded by Viratian A on his channel. This video backs up our statement as the host captures the views of prospective buyers of the Sonet. In the video, the host asks the consumers for their input on what they feel about the car.

The first customer he comes across, reveals that he booked the Sonet for its length as it is smaller than the Seltos, which a good aspect when driving in the city traffic. He states that he hasn’t even stepped inside the car even once. He just saw the exterior design and made a booking. Next consumer that the host heads over to claims that they liked the reverse parking camera and sensors, which are a boon when parking the car in tight spaces. Also, they appreciated the availability of the sunroof and the overall seat comfort.

The next customer that host moves on to, states that it looks wider in person than in the pictures. Also, the tiger-nose grille flanked by sleek LED headlamps on either side adds to the car’s overall appeal. Similarly, all other customers appreciate the design of the Sonet. For some, it is the dashboard that got them hooked, while for some it was the long list of the features.

The Sonet will go on sale by 18th of this month. Also, the prices are not revealed as of now, but they are expected to be in the range of Rs. 8 lakh to Rs. 13 lakh. Once launched, the Sonet will compete with Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Ford EcoSport, and Mahindra XUV300. It will be offered in a total of 3 engine options – 1.2L petrol, 1.0L turbo-petrol, and 1.5L diesel. However, there will be 5 gearboxes on offer – 5-speed MT, 6-speed MT, 6-speed AT, 6-speed iMT, and 7-speed DCT.
