Here's how you can make your base-spec Maruti Swift get all the features of its top-spec counterpart. Take a look at this video here.
Maruti Suzuki is the largest carmaker in the country. The brand has managed to hold the numero uno position for decades now. In the year 2020, Maruti Swift was the highest-selling hatchback in the country. Thanks to its sporty looks and great driving dynamics, it is highly loved by the enthusiasts. Hence, a lot of modified examples can be seen on roads. Indeed, it’s hard to spot two Swifts that look the same. However, we do not come across tasteful modifications quite often. Here’s one, which looks clean and gets all the goodies of the top-spec ZXI+ trim. Although, it started life as a base-spec LXI variant.
We came across this modified example by a YouTube video, which was uploaded by Musafir AKA Joshi on his channel. This example belongs to his viewer Gulfaam. Talking of the modifications, there are many. On the front, the owner has installed the headlamps of top-spec trim that come with LED projectors and LED DRLs. Moreover, they feature a smoked effect, which looks uber cool with the white paint scheme of the car. Also, this modified Swift now gets OEM fog lamps as well.
On the sides, one can see the addition of nice-looking alloy wheels that measure 16-inch in diameter. At the rear, the owner has made some subtle tweaks by installing a diffuser and a spoiler. On the inside, this modified Swift gets a slew of changes. The first and foremost is the addition of power windows on all doors. And it has been done by using door pads of the top-spec trim. An Android-powered touchscreen infotainment system has also been fixed here which powers a couple of speakers and two subwoofers. To accentuate the overall ambience, ambient lighting has been put to use.
As for the powertrain, it remains factory-spec with no alterations. The Swift is offered with a 1.2L K-Series petrol motor. This 4-cylinder engine is capable of putting out 83 PS of peak power and 113 Nm of max torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed MT and a 5-speed AMT. Prices for the Swift start at Rs. 5.49 lakh and go up to Rs. 8.02 lakh.
