The competition in the large SUV segment is quite fierce in India. These SUVs are popular among buyers because of their massive dimensions, feature-loaded cabin and off-road capabilities. This segment consists of cars like MG Gloster, Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour. People looking out to buy a brand new large SUV in India gets confused a lot of times because all these SUVs are quite capable and reliable. Here’s a recent mileage comparison between all three SUVs that shows, which large SUV is the most fuel-efficient between MG Gloster, Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour.

This mileage comparison video has been uploaded by a YouTube channel named Gaadiwaadi. The vlogger drove all three SUVs for 200 kilometres. All the SUVs were driven for 120 km on the expressway, 60 km in the city and 20 km in tight city traffic. Starting from MG Gloster, the SUV is priced between Rs 29.97 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) to Rs 35.59 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It is powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine, which comes in two different states of tune. The former develops 163 Bhp and 375 Nm, while the latter puts out 218 Bhp and 480 Nm of peak torque. The vlogger is driving the latter version of the SUV in the video.

The MG Gloster consumed 19.75 litres of fuel to cover 200 km and offered 10.15 kmpl of mileage. On the other hand, Ford Endeavour is propelled by a 2.0-litre diesel unit, which offers 168 Bhp of power and 420 Nm of torque. The engine comes coupled to a 10-speed AT. The Ford SUV imbibed 18.15 litres of fuel and offered 11.01 kmpl of fuel efficiency. Talking about Toyota Fortuner, it derives power from 2.7-litre petrol and a 2.8-litre diesel engine. The Toyota is offered at a starting price of Rs 30.34 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the base trim. The Toyota SUV used 17.3 litres of diesel and offered 11.56 kmpl of mileage. As per the video, the Toyota Fortuner is the most fuel-efficient large SUV on offer in the Indian market.
