This is the MOST POWERFUL Kia Seltos in India

Korean automaker Kia has become quite popular in the Indian market since the launch of its first product last year. The Seltos was launched in a highly competitive segment, which was dominated by Hyundai Creta, but the new Korean entrant was capable enough to grab the top position on the sales charts. Right now, Kia Seltos is the top-selling car in its segment. The SUV became popular in the Indian market because of its attractive looks, feature-loaded interior and wide range of power plant choices. Kia offers the Seltos in three different engine options: 1.5-litre petrol, a 1.5-litre diesel and a 1.4-litre turbocharged gasoline engine.

Around 45 per cent of the Seltos sold last year were diesel-powered, and the smaller turbo petrol motor is also doing pretty well in terms of sales. The turbo petrol motor puts out power and torque outputs of 138bhp and 242 Nm. It comes paired with a 6-speed MT or a 7-speed DCT. A Bangalore-based modification firm named Code6 has taken benefit of this power plant and upgraded it to offer 170bhp of peak power. The powertrain is tuned to stage 1, and it now produces 310 Nm of torque. The power and torque outputs have been increased by 32bhp and 68 Nm, respectively. The modifier has used Stage 1 ECU and BMC air intake to increase the power output.

Apart from the performance upgrade, the SUV does not feature any design customization. It continues to get 17-inch Y-spoked alloy wheels, red inserts on the lower section of the front bumper and side profile, red GT Line badging and so on. Moreover, no modification has been done inside the car. It gets an all-black theme with contrast red stitching on the leather. The same engine does duties in the new-gen Hyundai Creta. With the variety of customisation shops cropping up across India, car owners are finding it easy to get their cars personalized as per their choice.
