Renault India has just launched its new Kiger compact with prices starting from Rs 5.45 lakh. This makes it the cheapest compact SUV on the Indian auto market as the Nissan Magnite’s prices have increased to Rs 5.49 lakh. The Kiger will compete against the likes of the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Maruti Vitara Brezza in a very rapidly growing and crowded segment. But how would the Kiger look if it was made for proper off-roading? This render may help you with that.

The video has been uploaded by frequent IndianAuto collaborator SRK Designs over on Youtube. The most discernible change in this Renault Kiger render is the new stealth spec dark grey and black dual-tone paint scheme. The front-end gets a new bull bar and the grille and the badge has been dechromed while the bonnet creases now get black race stripes. Over to the side, there are new bigger blacked-out alloy rims with off-road tyres while the roof gets a new roof box and extra protection with metal railings fitted along the roofline. Overall, this rendering of the Kiger is quite tastefully done and looks like it is ready for an adventure.

Co-developed by Renault and Nissan, the Kiger is based on the new CMF-A+ platform. Squared off wheel arches are filled in by 16-inch geometric design alloy wheels.

Over to the interior, the Renault Kiger’s top-trim comes loaded with features like an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with integrated Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and voice command support. There’s an Arkamys audio system with 4 speakers and 4 tweeters while other features like climate control, ambient lighting, push-button start/stop, and keyless entry will be available as well. An air purifier is available as an optional extra as well.

Prices for the Renault Kiger range from Rs 5.45 lakh for the base trim and goes up to Rs 9.72 lakh for the range-topping version. Do note all prices are ex-showroom.
